ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Charles Olman, 49, of Kennon St. in Bridgeport was arrested Thursday and booked into the Belmont County Jail on two counts of rape of a child younger than 13.

Olman will have no bond until his arraignment May 13.

According to a press release from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the office and caseworkers with the Department of Job and Family Services initiated an investigation into the rape of a minor, with the suspect being Olman.

This case was presented to a grand jury by the Belmont County Prosecutor’s Office on May 5. A warrant on indictment was issued. On Thursday, Olman was arrested.

This is an ongoing case with detectives continuing to follow up on more leads. Sheriff David Lucas is asking the public to contact his office if they have any information related to this case.
