ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The owner of a new CBD shop that opened its doors this week is hoping products he sells will help ease client’s ailments.

The High End CBD Shop held its grand opening Wednesday at 165 E. Main St. in St. Clairsville. Shop owner Brian Phillips said he carries a little bit of everything when it comes to CBD products including gummies, oils, lotions and pain sticks, as well as other gift items, clothing and more.

Phiillips said his main goal is to help people who are struggling with pain or mental health disorders. These people can benefit from taking CBD, he said.

“We like to help patients — patients that are in pain, patients that have anxiety, depression, things like that. All those things can be helped with CBD. Those are things that I have myself, and I hold a passion for trying to help people deal with those things,” he said.

Also, he said he is hoping to help curb the drug problem in the area by providing an alternative to illegal substances.

Phillips’ main priority is to help guide people to what is best for their health, offering his expertise to anyone who needs assistance.

“If anybody has any questions, any concerns about CBD that they need answers to and are looking for someone to ask, someone that they can trust, they can come and ask us. They don’t have to buy anything, I don’t care if they buy anything at all. If they need help, don’t hesitate to come talk to us,” he said.

“My primary focus is people. I’m tired of seeing the same thing with every CBD shop — in front, they’re for the patient, and in the back, they don’t care. That’s not us. That’s what’s going to set us apart.”

The deciding factor to open his business in St. Clairsville came after the response he received from city leaders. Phillips said he was warmly welcomed by numerous officials.

“I had looked for several months trying to find a location and I found this location about 3 months ago. I talked to the city planner, and they welcomed me into the city with open arms and was ready to go. That, to me, was extremely important. The mayor, the city planner, all of them, have been extremely helpful,” he said.

Once the business is settled in, Phillips said he plans to give back to the community that welcomed him in.

“I plan to do benefits and fundraisers for people with cancer and other diseases,” he added.

The shop also prides itself on selling Tho Bros Premium CBD, a local company. Phillips said they offer high quality products at a lower cost. He said he is able to sell some products at half the cost as competitors with the product quality remaining top notch.

The High End CBD Shop is now open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. It is located next door to Papa D’s Pizza. Phillips said he is working to hire another employee so he can expand hours to include Sunday.
