CADIZ ­– The Harrison Central High School Class of 2023 will graduate at 7 p.m. May 26 in the school’s main gymnasium.

Doors to the event open at 5:30 p.m., and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Treston Nemeth is the valedictorian, with a 4.485 grade point average. He is the son of Brent Nemeth and Shawna Murphy, is a Ruritan Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, an OVAC Scholar Athlete, an Academic All-Ohio award recipient, and an Academic Letter winner. He will attend the University of Dayton, where he earned a baseball and merit scholarship, and will major in Civil Engineering.

Leah Cottrell is the salutatorian an d the daughter of Jason and Jaclyn Cottrell of Cadiz. She graduates with a 4.476 GPA, is a Ruritan Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, and an Academic Letter winner. She is also a member of the student council and the yearbook/newsletter staff. She has earned a Panther Pride Award, Merit Award and additional scholarships to attend the University of Pittsburgh and major in nursing.

The remaining members of the top 10 students are: Cabot Arbaugh, Taylor Cope, Madelyn Butler, Hayden Elliott, Kayln Ledger, Maddison Bender, Emma Fischer and Grayden Sproull.
