Bellaire Elementary School opens kindergarten registration for 2024-25

BELLAIRE — As the new school year approaches, Bellaire Elementary School announces the opening of kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 academic year.

Families in the local area are encouraged to enroll their children in kindergarten at Bellaire Elementary, which district officials say provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for early childhood education.

“Their dedicated team of educators is committed to fostering a love of learning and laying the foundation for academic success,” a news release states.

Registration for kindergarten is now open and is done online at the school website. Students must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1. Screening appointments will be scheduled between May 20 and May 22.

Families will need to bring the following to screening: the child, child’s birth certificate, parent photo identification, immunization/vaccination records, proof of residency, any court documents concerning custody of the child, if applicable.

“We are thrilled to welcome the newest members of our school community,” Principal Ben Doyle said. “Kindergarten is an exciting time for children and families, and we look forward to partnering with parents to begin their school journey and support their child’s growth and development.”

At BES, kindergarten students engage in a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development and hands-on learning experiences. The classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate resources, and BES considers class size to ensure personalized attention for each child.
