A time to remember victims of gun violence

Area resident Amber Kanoskie lights a candle remembering victims of gun violence in Steubenville. More than 60 area residents took part in the vigil, held in Historic Fort Steuben Park. Prayers and tears flowed during the ceremony, organized by Gail Worrels, mother of 2012 drive-by victim Quentin Worrels Nelson, who told the crowd if they want their community to be safe for children, “We need to advocate for change, for education and awareness about gun violence.”
