BETHESDA — The Union Local Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Epworth Park Chautauqua Homecoming Days, is sponsoring the Bethesda Car Show on July 13 at Epworth Park at the corner of Lake and Virginia streets in Bethesda.
Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the show time is from noon to 3 p.m. The registration fee is $10.
Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 75 registered participants. It is an open event, and a trophy will be awarded for each decade from 1920 through 2020. Trophies will also be awarded for best: Convertible, Truck, Rat Rod, Import, Motorcycle, Special Interest and President’s Choice. Judging is by nonprofessionals.
Music from the 1950s and ’60s will be provided by DJ Frank Prebeg. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.
Food and soft drinks will be available at the picnic shelter. Organizers are not responsible for loss or damage.
There is a playground for the youth to enjoy, and attendees can visit the Chautauqua Days Festival on the east side of the park.
“Plan to visit and enjoy all the many vehicles in this historic setting among the giant oaks, reminisce to the music and recall the memories of your youth,” the Rotary club urged in a news release, terming it “an experience you will not want to miss.”
Take Interstate 70 to Exit 208 onto Ohio 149, then turn right onto Ohio 147 to Bethesda. At the four-way stop, follow the signs to Virginia Street.
