At 9:29 p.m. Thursday, units responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address in Bridgeport. A caller was reportedly assaulted by her husband and was able to go to her neighbor’s house to call 911.

At 7:52 p.m. Thursday, deputies on a special detail were at an address on Blaine-Chermont Road in Bridgeport with a woman who was getting her property out of the house. She never got keys to a vehicle and had it towed earlier in the day. A deputy reported that the male did not have the keys on him. A deputy told the male to drop the keys off at the sheriff’s office by 10 p.m. The deputy received the keys that were left on the front desk of the sheriff’s office by the male, according to the report.

At 6:12 p.m. Thursday, an officer was out at an address on Crestview Lane in St. Clairsville after a caller complained of three males in her back yard. She had the incident on video, which the officer watched. The officer said they appeared to be looking for an address. Extra patrols in the area were provided, the report stated.

At 6:12 p.m. Thursday, a caller stated she left $20 in the self checkout at Kroger on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville. She went back to get it, and it was gone. She wanted a police report, but a deputy told her it was “abandoned property,” according to the report.

At 4:41 p.m. Thursday, a deputy on a special detail at an address on Blaine-Chermont Road in Bridgeport was on a civil standby while a woman gathered her belongings from that location.

At 4:19 p.m. Thursday, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on Interstate 470 near the mile marker 0 split with Interstate 70, assisting units from the St. Clairsville Police Department. The West Virginia vehicle was not stopping according to the report. Several units became involved in the pursuit. The vehicle was eventually stopped in the area of 26th Street in Wheeling. Drugs were observed in plain sight, according to the report. One male was taken into custody. Wheeling Police took him into custody on separate charges, and additional charges were to be sent in for Ohio, according to the report.

At 12:29 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to an address on Willow Grove Road in Bellaire for a report of a female receiving threats via text messages. Information was taken for a report. The complainant was given information about how to obtain a civil protection order.

At noon on Thursday, the principal at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville reported that a student was in possession of a vape device. This was the student’s first offense, and a disciplinary plan without criminal charges was given. A school resource officer took the device, marked it and placed it for disposal.

At 11:20 p.m. Thursday, a juvenile probation officer advised a school resource officer from the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville that she discovered a vape device on a student serving in the CCAP program’s disciplinary plan for vaping. This was the student’s third such offense. The student was given a disciplinary plan and a recommendation for expulsion by the principal. The school resource officer took the device, marked it and retained it for disposal. The officer was seeking criminal charges for the offense.

At 11:19 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a report of an assault that occurred at the Pilot travel center on Belmont-Morristown Road. Both parties were separated. Information was taken, and charges were to be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

At 11 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a DOA on Belmont Road in Bethesda. A deputy responded and gathered information for a report.

At 6:49 a.m. Thursday, units responded to a motor vehicle accident on National Road in Belmont with injury or unknown medical emergency. This involved a semi wreck on private property, according to the report. The vehicle was also leaking fuel.
