At 11:41 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Pike Street in Neffs issued a warning to a West Virginia motorist for speeding.

At 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, a sergeant was assisting the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a road rage complaint. The officer was out at an address on Liston Avenue in Bridgeport. The sergeant located a truck, but no one was there, according to the report. Units patrolled the area for a while, and the OSHP completed a report.

At 3:24 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from North Moss Run Road in Bellaire reported that his neighbor was shooting his guns in their own yard but the bullets were coming through the caller’s yard. An officer patrolled the area, but did not locate anyone.

At 1:58 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on National Road in Bridgeport issued a verbal warning to an Ohio motorist for failure to yield.

At 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a special detail responded to an address on Morristown-Flushing Road in Flushing to notify a resident that a family member was in the hospital.

At 5:29 p.m. Wednesday, a sergeant on a special detail was out at an address on New Cut Road in Bellaire to contact family members about a relative who was in the hospital and unable to contact them via phone.

At 11:43 a.m. Wednesday, an anonymous caller reported that she heard a neighbor who was a registered sex offender had been watching 11- and 12-year-old juvenile females playing in the alleyway near Quimby Avenue in Bridgeport.

At 1:09 p.m. Wednesday, an officer assisted with a welfare check on an individual at an address on Trumbull Street in Bellaire. Units from the Bellaire Police Department were also involved, according to the report.

At 9:43 a.m. Wednesday, deputies assisted units from the Bellaire and Shadyside police departments at an address on Jefferson Street in Belaire where a female with mental issues was reportedly making threats toward a caller and her mother. An emergency medical service squad was called to the scene for a mental evaluation. EMS personnel transported the female to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.

At 8:53 a.m. Wednesday, an officer went to an address on Washington Avenue in Wheeling to follow up with a witness on a report alleging that a doctor hit an elderly male patient at an appointment in Brookside. Information was taken for an assault report.

At 2:07 a.m. Wednesday, a caller from Frontier Drive in Belmont reported that someone was knocking on a back window continuously. The caller said she did not see anyone because it was dark out back. A deputy investigated and reported that he did not see any evidence that anyone was near the house. The deputy advised he would be patrolling the area.

At 12:36 a.m. Wednesday, a truck driver from Texas reported that he checked his load at the Pilot travel center on Belmont-Morristown Road and noticed that seals were broken. He said he believed some cargo was missing, as well. The caller said he was unsure where the theft took place.
