Ohio Hills Health Centers (OHHC) was one of eight organizations to be recognized at the Appalachia Heritage Luncheon. For more than a decade, Heritage Ohio and the Ohio’s Hill Country Heritage Area have hosted the Appalachia Heritage Luncheon to honor the contributions of individuals, businesses and organizations that have contributed to Ohio’s rich history and culture.
“Being a 2025 Appalachia Heritage Luncheon Honoree was a meaningful recognition of the health services we provide to the underserved residents of our region and of our commitment to the community through the preservation of the Bradfield Building,” said Jeff Britton, CEO OHHC. “The preservation and utilization of the historic Bradfield Building serve a dual purpose, providing the community with affordable quality health care and contributing to the revitalization of our downtown.”
As Ohio’s official historic preservation and Main Street organization, Heritage Ohio fosters economic development and sustainability through preservation of historic buildings, revitalization of downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts, and promotion of cultural tourism. The luncheon recognized the outstanding people, places and projects that make the 32-county Appalachia region of Ohio such a rich cultural area.
“OHHC was nominated by Vicki King-Maple, Executive Director of the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA).
“This was an honor for OHHC to be selected and to be recognized for our work to provide affordable health care, but also for our contribution to our community through the preservation of the Bradfield Building,” said Jan Chambers, OHHC Director of Development. “We are extremely grateful to Vicki King-Maple for this nomination.”
The event was sponsored by AEP Ohio, with additional support from OhioSE, The Ohio Arts Council, JobsOhio, and the Ohio Lottery. The event was hosted by Senator Tim Schaffer.
