WHEELING — The City of Wheeling announced Friday that the Washington Avenue Bridge is planned to close to all traffic beginning Tuesday, Dec. 2. Traffic will be barred from the bridge, a major connection between National Road and the neighborhood around WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, as crews fully replace it. It is anticipated the closure will last until early October 2026. Units responded to an address on Kinney Road in Beallsville, but did not come in contact with the male.
