At 11:46 p.m. Sunday, units responded to a report of threats being made at Belmont Heights Apartments on Blaine-Chermont Road in Bridgeport. A caller reported that her boyfriend was accusing her of threatening him, but he was threatening her, she said. Units arrived, but the boyfriend left before the complainant called 911. Flood recovery Q&A session scheduled

The Valley Grove Community Center will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday for Triadelphia and Valley Grove residents who may still have questions about flood recovery. Residents of both communities have been able to apply for individual aid through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. FEMA has hosted a disaster recovery center at the Triadelphia Community Center, but that site will close at 5 p.m. Friday. WELLSBURG — A judge sentenced a Wellsburg man to life in prison, without chance of parole, after he pleaded guilty to the murder of his father – a death that had been called a suicide 37 years ago.
