STEUBENVILLE — The Trinity Health System Foundation is holding a drawing for a 2024 Ford Mustang through Team Automotive Group, with net proceeds to benefit the hospital system’s medical equipment fund.

With an approximate manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $57,000, the brand-new, vapor blue Mustang is equipped with a 5-liter, eight-cylinder engine and can deliver 480 horsepower. With a manual transmission, the Mustang is a “fun car to get behind the wheel of,” said Mark Teramana, Team’s general manager.

The Trinity foundation is selling 1,000 tickets at $100 each for a chance to win the Mustang or a $50,000 voucher toward any car on Team’s lot — Toyota or Ford. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at SupportTrinityHealthSystem.org or in person inside Team’s showroom, 905 Brady Ave., and the office of Trinity Medical Center East, 380 Summit Ave.

A winner will be drawn on July 1, unless tickets are sold out earlier.

Catherine Poludniak, director of the Trinity Health System Foundation, said the foundation has a “great relationship” with Team, adding, “They’re always helping the community.”

Once the drawing closes, the foundation will repay Team for the Mustang or the voucher’s cost, but if all tickets are sold, that could mean as much as $50,000 going toward new medical equipment purchases for the hospital, Poludniak said.

“We’re excited that Team Automotive has worked with us to be able to hold a drawing for such a wonderful car in 2024,” Poludniak said. “This will be great for the medical equipment fund. This will help with capital purchases that will help our hospital help the community that we serve. This is also great for our community because it’s community involvement, and we’re excited that you (members of the community) are going to partner with us and could be the owner of this fancy, new ride.”

Poludniak continued: “The needs of the hospital are great, and at a time when our capital budgets are tight, it’s our pleasure and our honor to help the hospital any way we can, especially with important equipment needs that every department has.”

Equipment projects large and small could benefit from the proceeds of the drawing, Poludniak said. Expenses could include X-ray machines, CT scanners and portable ultrasound machines. Previously, Poludniak said, the Trinity foundation has paid for the installation of a linear accelerator — a radiation projection machine that accurately targets cancerous tumors — in Trinity’s Tony Teramana Cancer Center.

“The Trinity foundation is a wonderful group that keeps money local. … We all like to donate dollars and keep it local as best as possible. … It’s nice to give (the hospital system) the technology that they need to take the best care of our local community,” Teramana said.
