DANA GOLDEN JESKEY

Dana Golden Jeskey, age 85. of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on October 31, 2019.

She was born on March 27, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Raymond Jolly and Ruth Raab Jolly.

Dana was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Gordon Golden, and son, Gordon Eric Golden.

She was a graduate of Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy and began a career as a switchboard operator for the telephone company before marrying her husband, Gordon Golden. They were married and raised a family of four in Warwood, West Virginia.

After Gordon Golden’s passing, Dana met and was married to John Jeskey Sr., with whom she enjoyed an extended family, a retirement life of playing card games, polka dancing and volunteering in activities with St Mary’s Catholic Church.

Dana is survived by her husband, John Jeskey Sr. of St. Clairsville; her two sons, Christopher and wife Maggie of Pittsburgh PA, and Drew and wife Holly of Frisco TX; daughter, Dana Jean Golden of Pittsburgh PA; six grandchildren, Laurie Carr and husband Jason, Derek Golden and wife Mai, Brandon Golden, Kera Golden, Katherine Golden and Collin Golden; and four great-grandchildren, Beau Carr, Hana Golden, Kai Golden and Solar Golden. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Banner of Tucson, Arizona, and extended family, John Jeskey Jr of Adena, Michelle McFaden of Wheeling and Victoria Jeskey of Wheeling, six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Visitors will be received at Toothman Funeral Home, 141 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday, November 3, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery of Wheeling, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clairsville Council of Churches Food Pantry.
