JOEL LOREN “SID” STERN

He was born November 20, 1950 in Barnesville, Ohio, a son of the late Joel Sidney Stern and Irene Crow Stern.

Joel Loren Stern was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an employee of Castrol Reprocessing Services. Sid enjoyed farming and his tractors and was a very active member of the Belmont community.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Elizabeth Johnson Stern and a grandson, Nicholas.

Surviving are his daughters, Darleen Barton (Keith) of Twinsburg, Ohio, Carleen (Dale) Wayble of Barnesville, Ohio and Julia (Rob) Howells of Marysville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Patrick, Jessica, Sydney and Greyson; 3 great grandchildren, Brookelyn, Gabryell, and Caleb; and a sister, Linda Hill of Marengo, Ohio.

Private services held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
