RICHARD HYDE

Richard E. Hyde, 92, of Bethesda Road, died Thursday at Astoria Place, Barnesville. He was born November 15, 1927, on the family farm near Fairview to the late Earl and Edna Smith Hyde.

A brother, Fred, and sisters, Jessie Howell, Marjorie Rife and Helen Morgan and granddaughter, Rona Williamson preceded him in death.

He had worked as a Service Engineer for Clark Volvo Equipment Co. and traveled in 28 different countries.

He married Miriam Dunbar February 14, 1949. She survives along with a daughter, Janice St. Clair of Freeport Route and two sons: Michael Hyde of Albuquerque,

N.M. and Mitchell “Susan” Hyde of Columbus. Grandchildren Renee Huff, Kaitlin and Christopher Hyde, five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

He graduated from Madison High School Class of 1945. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and the Historical Construction Equipment Association.

Friends may call at the Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry, Sunday, January 12, from 2-4 p.m. Pastor Bob Merritt will officiate at a 1 p.m. service on Monday. Burial will follow at Sunset View Cemetery.
