CHARLES LUCAS

Charles F. Lucas, 83, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 12, 1937, in Belmont County to the late Alva and Lillian (Powell) Lucas.

Charles was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Barnesville. He was a member Friendship Lodge F&AM #89, OES Chapter 206 and the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite. Charles was retired from Consol Energy where he worked as an electrician and welder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Joanne (Basford) Lucas on April 25, 2020; three sisters: Gladys (Harry) Milhoan, Edna (Francis) Jefferis and Norma (Nelson) Fisher; and brothers-in-law, Freddie Basford and Fred Rinehart.

Charles is survived by his son, Jay (Susan) Lucas; daughter, Brenda (Randy) Flood; grandchildren: Ryan Lucas, Trista (Corey) Wehr, T.J. (Debra Perdue) Warner, Samantha Flood, Gage Flood, and Casen Flood; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Maddie, Emma and Lucas; sisters-in-law: Dolores Basford and Phyllis Rinehart; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required for visitation on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. A Masonic Service will be held on Tuesday at 6:45pm. The service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11am with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
