HELEN KASIK

Helen was born on July 5, 1940, in Jerusalem, OH, a daughter of the late John & Lena (Ady) Palmer.

She was the devoted wife of the late James Kasik Sr., whom she married on September 27, 1963. She was a loving mother to her three children: James (Patricia) Kasik Jr and Kelly (David) Carter, both of St. Clairsville, OH. Her beloved son, John Kasik, passed away on September 19, 1989. Also surviving are her cherished grandsons; John Kasik (Holly Trubiano) of Southfield, MI, Nicholas Kasik and Ryan Kasik of St. Clairsville, OH. She’s survived by her sister, Bernadine Burghy, and sister-in-law, Doris Dombroski.

In addition to her husband and son, Helen is preceded in death by her siblings; Iona Travis, Emily McGilton, Evelyn McGarry, Geraldine Spence, and Earl Palmer. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Helen was a 1959 graduate of Bellaire High School. She was a case aide at Belmont County Children Services and Daycare Coordinator at Florence Crittenton Services.

Helen’s world revolved around her family and friends; she was an amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandma and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home, St Clairsville on Saturday, Sept. 24th from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Homer Harden officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine.
