He was born March 23, 1940, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Gunnish) Talasis. Robert was a retired Mill-Right from The Ormet Company. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Martins Ferry, a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed swimming and fishing. He was born October 1, 1940, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Wayne E. and Margaret I. “Peg” Burrall Daubenmeyer.
