Roger D. Brocklehurst, 74, of Shadyside, Ohio, died March 5, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Newark, Ohio. He was born August 14, 1949, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Vera May Bumgardner Brocklehurst and John Arthur “Jack” Brocklehurst Sr. Roger was a retired coal miner and former employee of the R.E. Burger Power Plant. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
