Nancy L. Frantz, 86, of North Canton, Ohio and most recently of Alliance, Ohio, passed away, peacefully, on the morning of July 5, 2023. She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on March 14, 1937, to her late parents, Elva and Cora (Hughes) Crooks. Also, preceding Nancy in death was her husband, Philip C. Frantz and son, Philip James Frantz. She is survived by daughter, Karen Posey and son, David Frantz Devoted to her Catholic faith, she showed compassion and concern for others. Helen Oliver Carpenter, 89, of Moundsville, West Virginia, formerly of Holloway, Ohio, died Sunday, July 9 at home after a series of illnesses. A steady stream of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren comforted her and conveyed their affection by visiting her bedside on her final days. Earnest Albert Bluthardt, 86, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Sienna Hills Nursing Home. He was born on September 19, 1936, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Carl Albert and Martha (Winzenreid) Bluthardt. Ernest was Christian by faith, served his country in the U.S. Army in South Korea, was employed as an auto mechanic for many years and enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling especially to Florida. Donna K. Hicks, 85 of London, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Madison Senior Living Community, London. She was born March 21, 1938, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of Anthony and Bessie (Pyles) Zoric. Donna was a HUGE Notre Dame fan and had been able to attend several games. She had been a member of the Martins Ferry Chamber of Commerce for many years.
