Thomas Richard “Tommy” Skalsky, 83, of Neffs, Ohio, died January 19, 2023, at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. He was born March 1, 1939, in Glencoe, Ohio, a son of the late Albert M. Skalsky and Stella Christos Skalsky. Tommy was employed at Belco-Works and was a member of the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed music, playing the harmonic and organ, going to church and the Cleveland Indians. Tommy loved to give gifts at Christmas and celebrating birthdays. Matthew (Matt) Newman, age 38, had his Homecoming January 14, 2023. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Jan Newman, brothers Bob Newman (Shanna,) and Kenny Newman, and his nephew Braxton Charters. Matt attended Groveport Madison HS and was a graduate of Eastland Career Center. After high school, Matt moved to eastern Ohio.
