Katherine Joyce Cilles Dimitro, of Glen Dale, West Virginia, died October 13, 2022, in Weirton Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1940, in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of Edward “Zip” Smith and Dorothy Seladoki Smith, Kreis. Joyce was raised in Neffs, Ohio and was a Bellaire High School graduate. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse from The Birthplace at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. DeWine awards $7.7 million for first responder wellness

COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine recently announced that 20 local first responder agencies, including the Bethesda Fire Department, will receive a total of $7.7 million to help them boost their staffing levels to ensure thorough coverage for emergency response. The grants represent the second round of the new Ohio First Responder Recruitment, Retention, and Resilience Program.
