He was born on August 25, 1942, to the late Charles and Edna (Poch) Spitzl in Bellaire, OH. After high school, James obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Ohio University. James Charles “Jay” Wiegmann, 49, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on September 23, 2022, at the Emory Decatur Hospital. Jay was born in Steubenville, Ohio, to Barbara Keyser Wiegmann Grice and the late J.R. Wiegmann on September 17, 1973. He attended Shadyside schools until moving to Atlanta and graduating from Crestwood High School. He then attended the University of Georgia. Mary Vel Pennell, 70, of Cambridge, died Thursday (September 29, 2022) at her home. She was born January 12, 1952 in Wood River IL, daughter of the late John Blaine and Frances E. (Fosha) Blaine. The matriarch of the family, “Nana” was always there for reunions, sporting events, graduations, and births. She was a 1970 graduate of Beallsville High School and a member of the 1st Christian Church of Beallsville. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre.
