Dear?Editor,

On behalf of St. John Central High School and the SJC Football Moms, I would like to thank all the wonderful people and places that helped fund the making of the new Irish flags.

A few months ago, a plea was sent out to help replace the old and faded flags that once surrounded the schools and lined Guernsey Street. And, as always, our wonderful alumni and friends answered. With the help of these faithful fans, beautiful green and white flags were made and hung with Irish pride throughout the village.

A huge shout out also to the Village of Bellaire maintenance gentlemen who weathered quite a storm while trying to do their jobs. Those who made this project come to life included: Lynn & Sally Butterworth, Joseph & Brenda Dumas, Richard & Linda McCabe, Jack & Betsy Roth, 3R Farms, Inc., The Liberatore Family, Main Event Ticket Service, VFW Post 626, Phyllis Cook, Anne Kutys, Mary V. Eble, Thomas Glaser, Mike & Melody Swift, Janey Ruskowski, Ashley from Lowe’s of St. Clairsville, Chris & Nancy Ducci, Mark Shepherd and most importantly our Betsy Ross of flags, Jeri Boston.
