Dear Editor, As an advance aged subscriber, and an oft contributing submitter to this format, I’d like to contribute a thought upon local “civility”. “Formal politeness and courtesy in behavior or speech” per Webster. The “speech” part, in violation of such a is a blaring “%#*+=?”. We hear it in traffic. Re: “Traffic”… St. C area is under repair.. Re: backed up traffic. Dear Editor, I was surprised when I read the recent letter regarding “Warsaw Ghetto” and “Rethinking Support for Israel.” Yes, the “Warsaw Ghetto” was HItler’s attack on Jewish people in order to eliminate them from the face of the earth. Dear Editor, There is no more perfect time of year to give thanks! St. Mary Catholic Parish in Shadyside recently held a fundraiser for Camden Brown of Powhatan. This 21-year-old young man was recently diagnosed with Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, which is a rare disorder causing complete vision loss in young males.
