WJU women shine in MEC cross country
WHEELING — Wheeling Jesuit University has continually been among the best in the Mountain East Conference in both cross country and track. The Cardinal women proved that once again last week when they captured the conference championsip, fighting off Wesleyan for the title by 11 points. A trio of former OVAC runners helped to lead the WJU women to the top place. Oak Glen graduate Kelsey Chambers won another conference title and was named the league’s runner of the year thanks to a time of 23:26.
