Saturday Prep Roundup: River girls ousted by Frontier in D-IV; Beallsville’s Baker scores 1,00th point in loss

BEAVERTON — River found itself with a five-point lead at Frontier Saturday in a Division IV tournament game, but the Pilots were held without a field goal in the final chapter and the Cougars posted the hard-earned victory.

The loss was the second to Frontier in less than two weeks and third this season. All told, River finished the campaign at 8-12.

The Pilots were led by talented freshman Kelsey Harlan’s 16. Rylie Knight finished with 10.

Frontier was led by Logan Haught’s 10.

The Cougars return to the court Thursday at top-seeded Shadyside.

His scoring was complemented by Brandon Louden’s 17.
