At 11:38 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that someone was around their property on Gas Station-Shippey Road in Lafferty trying to get into a camper. A sergeant responded but did not locate the suspect.

At 10:56 p.m. Wednesday, a cab driver at Commercial Drive in Bridgeport called to report a passenger in his vehicle possibly had dementia, and she apparently could not go home because of a temporary protection order. An officer from the Wheeling Police Department advised they had been dealing with the same woman at the Third Alarm Bar, and police were trying to locate her. Two individuals were sent to meet the woman.

At 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, police received a narcotics call from an address on Ramsey Ridge Road in Jacobsburg. A woman who reportedly was on methamphetamine agreed to go with the caller to rehab at WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital but then took off out of the caller’s truck and ran down the road on foot. Officers responded.

At 10:06 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to Sheetz on Addie Way, St. Clairsville, where a complainant reported that a lot of people were standing around outside the store. Upon arrival, the officer said there was no one in front or in back of the store.

At 6:51 p.m. Wednesday, units responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address on Elm Street in Brookside. A man reportedly was in the house screaming and threatened to hurt the caller. They had a history of fighting, according to the report. Officers arrived and reported that this was a normal situation between two brothers. No one wished to file charges.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 216 in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a Pennsylvania motorist for improper lane change.

At 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported two sisters were fighting at an address on Elm Street in Brookside, and one of them had a knife. One female was taken to jail, and a 16-year-old was to be leaving with their mother.

At 3:59 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported there was a female outside screaming and yelling at the Dollar General on Central Avenue in Shadyside. She was there the other day causing problems, according to the complainant. A deputy arrived, and the female was walking to the apartments to get a ride with a friend, according to the report.

At 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was attempting to make contact with someone to deal with goats outside a fence at an address on Main Street in Union Township. The goats were put back inside, the officer advised.

At 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, a caller requested a well check on a relative at an address on Gason Lane in Union Township. A friend contacted him and advised they had not heard from her. A sergeant reported that they just dealt with her, and she had to change her phone number because of other issues. A deputy responded and spoke with the woman, who was fine.

At 7:48 a.m. Friday, a Mead Township trustee called to report illegal dumping of brush on Cash Hill Road in Shadyside. There was a witness who took a photo of the truck and its license plate. The plate came back to a resident of Shadyside, according to the report.

At 11:45 p.m. Thursday, a mother and daughter were arguing at an address on Oxford Drive in St. Clairsville, and the mother called 911. No threats were made, and nothing physical occurred, the report stated. The daughter was leaving for the night.

At 8:29 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop of a vehicle on Interstate 470 near exit 3 and issued a verbal warning for expired tags and a faulty license plate light.

At 7:15 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on National Road in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for being on her phone while driving.

At 6:08 p.m. Thursday, loss prevention at Walmart in the Ohio Valley Plaza, St. Clairsville, reported that a female shoplifter walked out the front door with a cart full of stolen merchandise. A deputy responded, checked the video and took information for a shoplifting report.

At 11:57 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported that his mother was in the hospital, and when he went to check on her residence on Adolph Street in Bridgeport, it appeared that someone attempted to break into the house. A deputy responded and reported there was damage to the front, which appeared to be kicked. Individuals did not gain entry, according to the report.

At 9:38 a.m. Thursday, an officer responded to an address on National Road in Belmont where a 911 hangup call was placed with no answer on call back. A male at the residence said he unplugged his landline, and he believed that triggered the call.

At 9:34 p.m. Thursday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol requested assistance with a disabled vehicle at a location on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 219 in St. Clairsville. A deputy responded and took the Virginia motorist to get gas. The driver was on his way just after 10 a.m., according to the report.
