Carbon monoxide sends four people to hospitals
BOWERSTON – Four people were hospitalized Tuesday due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Bowerston Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Adam Reardon said two people were able to leave the hoe on their own, while two had to be rescued by VFD personnel wearing breathing protection. All four were taken to hospital and were "very critical," though he does expect them to recover. He said the situation should serve as a reminder to the public to have working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in their homes.
