The Rev. and Mrs. John Jackson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, June 25.

They were married on June 25, 1967, at Main Street United Methodist Church in Barnesville.

John is the son of Eva Jackson of Barnesville and the late Donald C. Jackson. Clair (Clara) is the daughter of the late Allan and Jean Bowers.

The Jacksons have two daughters, Melissa (Mike) DiBetta and Jennifer (John) Mattox. They have five grandchildren: Olivia, Michael, Casadie DiBetta, Hillarie and Camille Mattox. One grandson, John Payton Mattox, died in infancy.

The couple has ministered for 42 years and currently serve at the Lansing United Methodist Church.
