Elizabeth “Becky” (Rex) Helmsing of Powhatan Point and Scott (Colleen) Barbour of Clearwater, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Ann Barbour, to Christopher Nathan Jackson, son of George “Bob” and Dawn Jackson of Powhatan Point.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of River High School. She is employed as a union customer service advisor at Highmark of West Virginia. She also has two children from a prior marriage, Morgan Renee and Preston Mitchell Kuhn.

Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of River High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in accounting. He is employed at WesBanco Bank as an assistant audit officer.

An Oct. 24, 2015 wedding is being planned.
