Leah Duck, daughter of Howard and Nancy Duck of Martins Ferry, and Bret Gunther, son of John and Mabel Gunther of Orient, Ohio, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2004 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor of science degree in graphic design. She is employed as a graphic designer and marketing specialist at The American Concrete Pumping Association in Lewis Center, Ohio.

Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of Teays Valley High School and a 2003 graduate of University of Northwestern Ohio with a diploma in agricultural equipment technician. He is employed as a mechanic at Mayer Farm Equipment in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

A May 16 wedding is planned.
