Paul White Jr. of Bridgeport and Shawn White of St. Clairsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda L. White to Brian B. Bell, son of Gary Bell of Mount Pleasant.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Martins Ferry High School, a 2007 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a 2008 graduate of Ohio University where she received her master’s degree in reading education. She is employed as a first grade teacher at Ayers Elementary in Martins Ferry.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Buckeye Local High School where he completed carpentry school at Jefferson County Vocational School during his junior and senior years. He then went on to complete his carpentry apprenticeship in 2005. He is now employed through Carpenter’s Union Local 186 in Steubenville.

A June 4 wedding is planned in Wheeling.
