Megan Renee Butterworth and John Charles Davidson were united in marriage on April 5, 2014. The sunset ceremony was held outdoors at Swan Point Yacht and Country Club in Swan Point, Md. Mary Rahall was the officiant. The bride was escorted by her father.

Parents of the bride are Sally and Lynn Butterworth of Bellaire. Parents of the groom are Kathy and Charles Davidson of Bear, Del.

Alice Butterworth was maid of honor, and Rodger Davidson was the best man. Other attendants were Cheryl Hickman, Loriann Lallathin, Colleen Finnegan, Crystal Lenky, Jennifer Syrylo, Tyler Butterworth, Eric Mazzone, Andrew Field, Matthew Green, Jeffrey Katz and Joshua Radice. Flower girl was Jeanette Hickman.

A reception was held immediately following at Swan Point Yacht and Country Club.

The bride is a graduate of St. John Central High School, Coastal Carolina University and completed her master’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi majoring in marine science. She is employed in Herndon, Va.

The groom graduated from John Dickinson High School, the University of Delaware and completed his master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University majoring in electrical engineering. He is employed in Baltimore, Md.

The couple reside in Crownsville, Md.
