Vannest, Corcoran
Tessa Lynn Vannest and Michael Patrick Corcoran were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. July 5 at Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville with the Rev. Erica L. Harley officiating. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.
Parents of the bride are Jeff and Dorothy Vannest of St. Clairsville. Parents of the groom are Peter and Susan Corcoran of Marietta, Ohio. The bride is also the granddaughter of John Vannest (and the late Doris Vannest) and the late Samuel A. Mumley, Sr. and Beatrice Mumley all of St. Clairsville.
Tara Lee was maid of honor, and Luke Soehnlen served as best man. Other attendants were Liz Mumley, Becca Wilda, Julie Watson, Cathy Feeney Putnam, Renee Blessing, Shannon Corcoran, Dan DeVault, Michael Vannest, Matt Frizzi, Doug Blessing, Doug Henderson and Brian Sharitz. Reese Mumley served as flower girl, and Bryce Goulde served as ring bearer. Scripture readers were Brandon Greiner and Karen Denison. Karri Haglock and Joyce Crouch provided the music.
An outside cocktail hour was held on the lawn at Oglebay Resort’s Wilson Lodge with the indoor reception held at Glessner Auditorium.
The bride is a graduate of St. Clairsville High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University and earned her master’s degree from Muskingum University. She is employed at Old Bridge Elementary School, Woodbridge, Va., where she is a first grade teacher.
Her husband is a graduate of Marietta High School and also graduated from The Ohio State University. He is employed as the onsite support computer technician at the corporate law offices of McGuire/Woods, Tysons Corner, Va.
After a honeymoon to the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia, the couple reside in Lorton, Va.
