MARTINS FERRY — Malco Scrubs & Embroidery recently celebrated a year at its new location on North Fourth Street in Martins Ferry, where it is open and serving customers.

The shop moved from its former location at the plaza on South Fourth Street to North Fourth Street at the end of October 2020.

Kylie Malco, owner of the store, said since the move the shop now offers more merchandise as well as additional brands.

“We can also order. We offer merchandise from 10 different companies, so we can order just about anything,” she said.

With more than 30 years of experience serving the medical industry, the shop offers on-site embroidery, scrubs, medical equipment, accessories, shoes, chef apparel, tactical wear, aprons, polo shirts and more. Those needing embroidery work have a variety of designs and fonts to choose from. Malco said they can also do custom logos.

Although the store has only been in business since 2018, it is a family profession as her mother previously owned and operated Uniforms Unlimited in Bridgeport for many years.

“It’s a family tradition,” she said.

Malco said the store offers a 10 percent discount to all hospital employees and discounts for college students. The discount applies to everything bought in-store and ordered.

In January, the “pop-a-balloon” sale will commence. Throughout the entire month customers can pop a balloon that will contain anywhere from $1-$3 off a set of scrubs or accessories.

Malco Scrubs & Embroidery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at 10 N. Fourth St. Shopping can also be done online at malcoscrubs.com. For more information or to make an appointment, call 740-609-5905.
