Transportation programming revisions are sought after
WHEELING — Belomar Regional Council is proposing to revise the FY2024-FY2027 Transportation Improvement Program.
Fiscal Year programming is on a July 1 basis with FY2024 beginning July 1, 2023.
Projects must be included in the local TIP and the State TIP to be eligible for federal funding. Belomar is currently accepting public comments regarding the projects described below.
As requested by Belmont County, the following projects will be added:
∫ Intersection safety improvement at the intersection of U.S. 40 and Belmont County Road 10
(Blaine-Barton Road), currently estimated to cost $1,638,942.
As requested by OVRTA/EORTA, the following projects will be added for FY 2024:
∫ Facility renovations including a roof project, ADA-compliant wheelchair ramp, replacement security fencing, and outdoor security lighting. The request is to use $274,000 from FY 2021
FTA Section 5339. Total project cost is $342,500.
A public comment period regarding the proposed Transportation Improvement Program revision extends through April 16. Interested parties who desire to present their views on this proposed revision should submit written comments to:
