Ethel Wahonick, 89, formerly of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away, Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Continuous Care Center, in Wheeling, WV. She was born on September 4, 1936, in Tiltonsville, OH, to the late John and Rose (Sutak) Vasas. In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Joseph Kuri Jr; her 2nd husband, Donald Wahonick; her son, Kurt Kuri; son-in-law, Anthony Notaro and her grandson, Kolin Kuri. She was born on March 7, 1942, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Gryskevich) Fornari. Marcia was a retired nurse working 30 years as the school nurse for St. Mary Central Grade School in Martins Ferry. She was member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Colerain and was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.
