Dear Editor, Didn’t The Times Leader forget something in their article in Sunday’s paper entitled “Gov. DeWine announces $3.3M awarded to local project”? While your article did say “the money is a result of American Rescue Plan dollars ... ” your article, however, failed to point out that the American Rescue Plan Act passed the U.S. House of Representatives 219 Democrat to 212 Republican without a single House Republican vote in favor. Dear Editor, I just read the very nice front-page article in the March 24th Times Leader about the $3.3 million awarded for a community-based health and wellness center using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. The center will be located on the Ohio University Eastern Campus near St. Clairsville, OH. While there was a photo of several Republican politicians sitting on the stage receiving praise for making this project possible, the article did not give credit to those actually responsible for the source of the funding for this project. Dear Editor, Recently there was a Letter to The Editor by a woman who wanted to know why “The Republican Party Hates Women?” My response is this, they don’t hate women they hate abortion. The 195 Republicans she believes are trying to stop women’s right to control their own bodies, lives, reproductive freedoms, to restrict women’s access to contraceptives and to control women’s freedom of movement is absolutely absurd.
