Issue 1 is worse than Roe

Dear Editor, We have all seen the ads in favor of Issue 1 stating that it is needed because women need to have access to abortions and miscarriage care. These are false claims that must be challenged. The Ohio Revised Code specifically distinguishes abortion from miscarriage (see Section 2919.11). Abortion involves a living human being; in a miscarriage, death has already occurred. Miscarriage care is NOT abortion. Dear Editor, Many in Ohio are perhaps unaware of the importance of Issue 1. I believe this is intentional. Its purpose is to amend the (state) Constitution citing “reproductive rights” for every individual (including minors). This constitutional amendment would allow abortions to occur up to and including 9 months gestation. There is no parental consent needed. You read that correctly. Common sense

Dear Editor, “Common sense” is uncommon these days. My witness is the observations of political clashes, moral disputes, educational decline and the list goes on. If one believes the end is near due to man’s effect on the climate of planet earth, a larger focus is necessary. Modern civilization is currently upside down.
