Dear Editor, Yesterday I turned on one of the church channels and watched the memorial to Charlie Kirk. They played everything straight through without the interruption of the talking heads and commercials on regular cable networks. It was incredible. Even though it was Charlie’s memorial, it felt like I sat in a 5 to 6 hour church service that glorified Jesus. He wanted the youth of our country to believe in the basic things that made us strong. He spoke of God, family, and country. We cannot survive as a nation without these three. Dear Editor, Everything is going to hell in a handbasket, a doctor my wife used to work for frequently observed. Well, that’s an apt observation for Trump’s second administration. CONSIDER INFLATION: The price for everything is way up from when Biden handed over the reins to Trump. Food prices are up over 15 percent, beer is up 20 percent. Dear Editor, I find it interesting. No, I find it disturbing. The media and many politicians are framing the horrific, pre-meditated mass murder of school children at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN as a “mental health issue” of the shooter. The murder was perpetrated during morning mass in the church sanctuary. Those who call such a vile, villainous act a “mental health issue” are playing Russian roulette with words.
