Dear Editor, President Biden’s first 100 days is overall lauded for significant performance. Experts agree the three biggest achievements of Biden’s first 100 days have been the COVID-19 vaccination distribution, passage of his $1.9 trillion economic relief bill, and the rejoining of the Paris Climate Accord. Dear Editor, As a member of the Ohio Valley Catholic Community and Tte Diocese of Steubenville, I am compelled to address the sad issue of theft from within that was blasted on the 6 o’clock news this evening! Parishioners attend Mass weekly, tossing their money envelopes into the collection baskets. Dear Editor, We are deeply concerned about families in our congregations and communities that are being separated and penalized by current immigration law. Spouses of U.S. citizens are the highest priority for legal immigration, yet many families continue to face obstacles that make it impossible for both parents to live in the United States, even when the spouse and/or children are citizens. Dear Editor, I was sued for $2 million by a teamster lawyer that was representing the Oneida County, N.Y., deputy sheriff’s union. (I had said “I don’t like the cops reporting to the robbers.”) They sued for two million, instead of one, because the county only carried one million in defamation insurance on the county executive.
