Caregiver Support Fair is May 2

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The annual Caregiver Support Fair will be held May 2 at the Ohio Valley Mall.

The committee for the fair has been meeting the last several months and is proud to announce that this will be the 18th year of the event that showcases services for older adults and their caregivers. There are expected to be 80 exhibiters participating in this year’s event.

The exhibits will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Some of the exhibits will provide free health care testing, such as blood pressure checks, blood glucose, pulse ox and bone density testing. Information will also be available on housing options, advanced directives, volunteer services, in-home care, home health, nursing homes, Medicare and a wide variety of other caregiving topics.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by local musicians and artists and will culminate with the always-popular older adult fashion show.

The Caregiver Support Fair is a project of the Belmont County Adult Services Coalition. The BCASC is a group of social service health care providers and adult service organizations that meet monthly to coordinate support services for the adult residents of Belmont County and the surrounding area.
