Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Murphree of Platteville, Wis., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Ann McWilliams, to Kyle Anthony Hallstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Hallstrom Sr. of Barnesville.

The future bride is a native of Platteville, Wis. Rachael graduated from Platteville High School in 2009, and went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2014 with her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Rachael works in Cary, N.C., as an engineer for John Deere.

The future groom is a native of Barnesville and graduated from Barnesville High School in 2008, and went on to join the U.S. Navy in 2010 as an intelligence specialist. Kyle plans to transition to the Navy Reserves in 2016, and attend North Carolina State University to complete his bachelor’s degree in history.

Rachael is also the daughter of the late Daniel McWilliams Jr. and the granddaughter of Larry and Kathy Faull, the late Beverly Faull, and Daniel, Sr. and Shirley McWilliams.

Kyle is the grandson of Mary Ann Tallarico and Leo and Barbara Davis and the late Butch Davis.

A winter wedding is planned Feb. 6 in Kyle’s hometown of Barnesville.
