The Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library is sponsoring its annual “mitten tree,” which is decorated with scarves, hats, mittens and gloves that will be on display until Friday. The library collected items to benefit the area’s children. Donations are being accepted until Friday, when the items will then be sorted and distributed to schools in the village and St. Vincent Thrift Store. Brandi Little, director of the library, said the tree is part of the library’s community outreach program. The tree is located inside the front entrance of the library. Anyone wishing to donate can drop off clothing items at the library or call 740-425-1651 for more information.
