WHEELING — Just Right Home Care of Wheeling provides in-home care to the elderly and disabled.

Spokeswoman Julie Davis said individualized care plans for clients help ensure that people only get the amount of care they want and need — no more or less. For example, if someone just needs grocery shopping done for them, Just Right can help. If someone needs short-term help after surgery, Just Right can help with that, too. Around-the-clock care is available, too.

“We help with a variety of things to help keep the elderly in their homes, rather than looking at a facility for care. Our services include helping them get bathed or dresssed or preparing meals or doing laundry or errands,” Davis said.

Just Right has clients in West Virginia and Ohio. People can pay Just Right directly or some receive services via the West Virginia Waiver program, Ohio Passport program or Belmont County Senior Services.

“There are a lot of other companies that require a minimum of four hours — our minimum is one hour,” she added.

Before services begin, a home assessment is conducted to discuss goals and safety. Just Right caregivers receive background checks before they are hired. Davis said Just Right is always looking to hire additional caregivers because the need is great in the Wheeling region.

Some of the 100 caregivers on staff are nursing students who are working part-time while in school, while others are mothers who work while their children are in school.

“We are a locally owned, made in the Ohio Valley company. We do not have to answer to corporate problems. We are able to roll with the punches and assess each individual situation,” Davis said.

Just Right currently has about 300 clients.
