Frollinis celebrate 50 years of marriage

John and Diana Frollini of Lafferty celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27. They were united in marriage on Aug. 27, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lafferty. John retired from Oxford Mining. Diana retired from Belmont Correctional Institute. The couple has two daughters and two sons-in-law, Colleen and Justin DeMarchi of Belmont, and Stacey and Aaron Markham of Roanoke, Va., as well as two grandchildren, Celia and Vincent DeMarchi of Belmont. The couple was honored by their family with a surprise celebration on Saturday.

Mr. & Mrs. Russell Hall celebrate 74th wedding anniversary

Russell and Wilma Hall of St. Clairsville will celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8. They were united in marriage on Aug. 8, 1942, in St. Clairsville. Wilma is the daughter of Mark and Clara Passmore and past owner of the Corner Deli in St. Clairsville. Russ is the son of Charles and Helen Hall and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was superintendent of St. Clairsville Light and Power before he retired from Consolidation Coal Co. Gazdiks celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Stephen and Kathleen Gazdik of Barton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20. They were united in marriage at St. Casimir’s Church in Adena on Aug. 20, 1966, with the late Rev. Edward Kakasick. Kathy is the daughter of the late Paul and Kay Gunsorek of Adena, and Stephen is the son of the late Steve and Anna Gazdik of Bridgeport. Stephen is retired from Consol Coal Co. in Georgetown and Kathy is retired owner/operator of Klean Sweep Cleaning Co. in St. Clairsville. Frys celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Robert (Bob) and Mignonne Fry celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18. They were married Aug. 18, 1951, in Crowder, Miss., at the home of the bride. They are the parents of three children: Daniel (Jacque) of Martins Ferry, Mark (Sally) of St. Clairsville, and Vanna of Wheeling. They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Woods is the son of Edith Woods of Farmington and the late Wallace Woods. He is a retired machinist from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. Joseph and Betty Stemkowski will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Sept. 12. They were married on Sept. 12, 1942. They have four children, Joe Jr., Betty Ann Banfield and her husband Russ, and Frances Hartman, all of St. Clairsville, and Mary Elizabeth Maziek of San Antonio, Texas.
