It is what it is

Dear Editor, It is my belief that Attorney General William Barr resigned his post because to stay, would have made him vulnerable to being goaded by president Trump into jeopardizing his license to practice law. The election debacle in Georgia involves others, including Mr. Raffensperger, who have been asked to “find me one more vote,” and whose credentials would also be jeopardized in a similar fashion. In contrast to our chief executive’s disappointment, these two gentlemen are telling the president, “It is what it is, sir!” Jeff Aland St. Clairsville

Ballots And Batons

Dear Editor,        What a week!  The Times Leader and other scribes read as thriller novels and children stories.  Both seem as whimsical.          My thought to the first idea, “ballots” (thriller) is there must not be enough forensic evidence to prove a fraud or other crimes.  That must be in the last chapter.  As to the “baton” thought, one is twirled and the other is a law enforcement implement.        And here is where it gets sorta real.  “TAKE YOUR KNEES OFF MY BALLOT (I can’t breathe nor believe).”              As “Alice ...

Do you not want fair elections?

Dear Editor, How can we, the American people, sit back and watch as our country is being stolen from us? I am not talking about just an election, which is horrible enough, but our entire way of life will soon be changed, if we sit back and allow our election process become corrupted. When you watch the poll workers, poll observers, truck drivers, postal workers, etc., testifying to the terrible stories of corruption they witnessed going on all over the country, and the media and the judges supposedly listening to those courageous whistle blowers, sit there acting like they are ...

An extraordinary public servant

Dear Editor, As an unfortunate result of term limits, Dec. 31, 2020, marked the completion of the tenure of Bellaire native, Ohio state Rep. Jack Cera, serving the 96th Ohio House District, which includes Jefferson, Monroe and parts of Belmont counties, a most impressive legislative career appears to be coming to a close. Representative Cera was appointed to his current tenure in office to replace Lou Gentile, who was earlier appointed to the Ohio Senate seat, which had been vacated by Jason Wilson, on Dec. 14, 2011. Previously, Rep. Cera had very capably served the area in the Ohio ...

Couple expresses appreciation

Dear Editor, We would like to give Dr. Pollock and his staff at Schiffler Cancer Center a thumbs up. They are kind, respectful and go above and beyond to give the best care possible. We are so lucky to have doctors, nurses, aides and receptionists like this at our local hospital. Thank you. Ron and Debbie Turner Jacobsburg

Fraud

Dear Editor, The evidence presented, with regard to irregularities and illegalities, in the 2020 Presidential election have been brought forward. It has not received legal actions, as it would not merit “Fraud”. The MAGA masses have been dwarfed by the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris vote. Joe Biden is the most popular candidate in American history. Far more so than Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Joe Biden is millions more votes popular (per “popular” vote). He is the epitome of a “late bloomer”. After 5 decades he has made it to the top. The ...
